Previously Undeclared Dependents
For years, Canada took a strict zero tolerance policy towards undeclared dependents.
Previously, if any applicant did not declare a spouse or child in an application for permanent residence, the applicant would forever be banned from sponsoring that spouse or child for Canadian permanent residence.
A pilot project has been announced that provides a two year window where applicants who had been sponsored to Canada in the family class or who came as refugees may now apply to sponsors those previously undeclared relatives. Not all persons qualify. There are detailed eligibility rules.
